Thanya Al-Saadoon

Thanya comes to this CGSM trainee position with strengths especially suited for community engagement and consultation. Thanya’s warmth, humor and down-to-earth personality complement her ability to apply an anti oppressive, gendered lens in her work. Having spent the past several years focused on community safety, Thanya has had many opportunities to work alongside children, youth and adults of many different experiences and cultures. In this work, she has fostered her passion of including and engaging all people in creating and sustaining a safe, equitable and democratic community life.
