Jake Pyne is a co-investigator on the Reproductive Mental Health team.
Jake is a Trudeau Scholar, Vanier Scholar and PhD student in Social Work and Gender Studies at McMaster University. Jake has worked in a variety of research and advocacy roles in Toronto’s trans community over the past 13 years. He is currently a Co-Investigator on the Trans PULSE study (transpulseproject.ca) and an Affiliate Researcher on the National Trans Youth Survey. He works on a number of ongoing projects related to trans and gender non-conforming children and youth. Jake holds Bachelor and Masters degrees of Social Work from Ryerson University.
Jake started at the Centre as the 2010 Community-Based Research Trainee. His project Transforming Family addressed reproductive mental health for trans people and has led to an ongoing position on the team (lgbtqparentingconnection.ca/).
