The Centre for the Study of Gender, Social Inequities and Mental Health (CGSM) is based at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

We are a hub for international scholars, community-based researchers, policy makers, health agencies, practitioners and people with lived experience of mental health and substance use issues who are committed to eliminating social inequities in mental health.

The Centre is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)’s Institute for Gender and Health through a Centres for Research Development program.
